Here I am again with a lot of time since there's only one week of school left (in which we don't do anything) and then finally SUMMER HOLIDAYS. Except relaxing, doing some sketches and sewing there aren't any plans yet.
Today I went to the flew-market with my older sis and my mum. Didn't buy anything except a book even if I saw some nice bags and a original vintage Ray Ban.

I've been into denim jackets for some time now and a couple weeks ago I finally found the perfect one on sale. At first I regret buying it a little but now I love this 90s inspired jacket - especially with black and white - and wear it nearly every day. Finally something different, really got enough of the black sleeve cropped blazer...

Jeans à la tie dye

You know what? Today I wrote my last big test for this grade. I'm so glad and relieved. Finally time for something more interesting than learning.

Since the Balmain spring/summer collection bleached denim has become a big trend and is worn by many fashionistas. No matter if celeb, blogger or model - the trend is everywhere.

Rihanna - Ashley Tisdale - Fergie - Lindsay Lohan

Victoria Beckham - Erin Wasson - Dakota Fanning - Gwen Stefani

Lee - Camille - Rumi - Bella

Balmain - Karen Walker - Baby Phat - Ideëen

Elle - The Sartorialist - Jak&Jil

I totally loved light versions (grey and acid washed) like the ones at Balmain and would definately wear them but these flashing jeans that are just overkill? Yuk, I hate them. Plus I think that these patterns can easily fill up and make legs look kilometers wide.

So long....Have a nice week-end

"Show off your skin" - Black cut-out dresses

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Guys, finally summer has arrived in northern Germany too - the weather is incredible, sun and about 22°C. And now the best thing: Till Thursday there's no school. Sigh, what a great life after this period of busyness.

Just left the beach chair for a little update in fashion:
Remember Ashley Olsen's appearance at last year's MET Gala? She wore a black maxi-dress with lateral cut-outs by Diane von Fursteburg and looked simply breathtaking. Who knows maybe Ash gave the essential impulse for the come back of the 90's inspired dresses - wouldn't be all that absurd since she's an Olsen. Anway similar cut-out gowns appeared as well at many spring and fall 2009 fashion shows and have become a leading trend for the current/up-coming season. Of course the stars and starlets follow the new hype and wear black cut-out dresses in short or long shape. Miranda Kerr even chose a 20's inspired Jil Sander creation in this style for the these year's MET Gala and I think she managed beeing a good "descendant" for Ash.

What do you think about these dresses? A trend you'd go with?

Rihanna's week in fashion

Last week Rihanna really attract my attention with her outfits and her new hair which I don't like at all. It started out on Monday when she wore a black puff sleeved suit by D&G at the MET Gala. Sure shoulder statements are a current trend but I think Rihanna took it too seriously and looked a little absurd in her outfit. Next day it went on even worse. What was she thinking when she put on these hooker clothes? Luckily she changed for the evening to dark perforated jeans (Current/Elliot) and an eye catching yellow, diamond-studded Marc Jacobs jacket which I really liked.
Next day she followed the pattern: In the day a trashy look à la corsage and low-slung jeans in "zombie" (believe me or not that's how J Brand called the color), in the evening elegant-looking in a white pantsuit paired with a leo print blouse and long chains. Why doesn't she stick to the "evening rules" all day long?! At least Rihanna didn't look that bad on Thursday when she left her hotel wearing a snake-skin vest by Gucci , killer metallic heels and fawn pants. Even if I think that there are much better outfits this one wasn't as bad as the hooker look from Tuesday.
A few hours later she showed up on the red carpet in all over Louis Vuitton at the DKMS 2009 Annual Gala. Her futuristic dress was very special but loveable. I think she managed wearing it pretty good.
On Friday Rihanna finished her personal "fashion week" while hiding underneath a camouflage hoodie which she paired with dark jeans and peach-colored sneakers. I don't have something against hoodies or casual looks but camouflage and these shoes? YUK!
For sure Rihanna had a exciting and eye-catching week but I'd that she really failed. She's a very pretty girl and awesome girl so why does she need to dress like this?

What do you think of Rihanna's outfits and her style in general? Amazing or just overkill?

See you

Love

Holiday memories

On Tuesday I came back from my Easter vacation in Syria. For me it was the first time to spend Easter with my grand parents and over there in general. It was totally different and a great experience. Despite the huge dust clouds that made the city orange, the cold (usually it's super hot), the long journeys and illnesses it was a very beautiful holiday and I'd love to go there again next year.
Of course I went also a little bit shopping. Mainly the clothes weren't my taste but there were wonderful accessorries that I had to buy. Pics will follow in the upcoming posts.
So now here a few photos of the 10 days abroad. Like always there weren't many of me because I'm the family photgrapher and spent most time behind the lense ☺

Enjoy!

Easter Vacation

In about 12 hours I'll leave for Syria where I'm gonna spend the holidays plus a couple days.
I feel quite excited but the preparation was also a lot of stress and I'm not done with packing yet even if it's nearly 12 p.m.

Be good my dears. I wish you happy Easter ♥

Cheers

P.S. I'll be back on 21st - hopefully with a few pics for you ☺

Snakeskin Looks

The last week was final one in school before easter vacation. Tomorrow I'll start my week-long internship at our local newspaper. I'm totally excited but also a little afraid but until now I heard only good things from the students who were there before. Well, let's just wait and see ☺
Lately I didn't post because I had to concentrate on school since there were thousands of projects, tests etc.

Inspired by the current animal print trend and my vintage bag which (pic above) today's topic is the snakeskin look which was also shown on the runway besides the famous leo print. It can look very classy and noble but also trashy and cheap.

Rodarte Fall 2009 RTW

Prada Spring 2009 RTW

Miu Miu Spring 2009 RTW

Louis Vuitton and Hèrmes Spring 2009 RTW

For me the 'natural' snakeskin look is the best. I think if you combine it with simple colors like black or cream you can't go wrong. Yet I didn't wear my bag but maybe I'll stick to it in the future and take Natasha Poly, Miranda Kerr and Snejana Onopka as an example.

What do you think about snakeskin? Would you wear it?

Have a nice rest sunday

Milan Fashion Week Fall 2009

After missing NY and London Fall 2009 Fashion Week completely, I follow Milan from the beginning to the end. So here are most of the designers who presented their collections so far. All in all I've to say that there were some stunning looks shown. Chosing a favorite is always hard because there are so so many great ones so actually there isn't even one. Emilio Pucci was great, likewise Gucci, C'N'C, Alberta Ferretti, Etro, Marni, Emporio Armani, Just Cavalli, Moschino C&C, Blumarine, Alessandro Dell'Acqua, D&G.... You see I'm bad in makign decisions. Something I know: Velvet, brocade, many many colors (esp. gold plus blue nuances) and africa prints are definately coming.

Enjoy ☺

I know lately I haven't been around very often but as I already told at the moment it feels like time is running away. I'm so tired of school and all the learning. Can't wait for vacation.
Hopefully I can manage posting some personal looks soon. I've tons of things I wanna show you.

Take care

And the Oscar goes to...

If there was one in the category "Best non-blogging fashion blogger" I'd definately get it - I guess. Please excuse me (once again) but I'm very busy right. School is such a tough challenge and eats my whole time. After missing NY's Fall 2009 fashion week here I go with a little review on what the ladies wore at last night's Oscar. I already marked my 4 favorites which are yours?

Well then I'm off - hopefully for not so long ☺

Camilla (la) Belle

There's a new girl in Hollywood: Camilla Belle. The 22-year-old actress is currently promoting her new film 'Push' and covers the february issue of Nylon . At the latest everybody knows her since it came out that she's the new girlfriend of Joe Jonas. (- poor Taylor☺-)

I haven't seen any films of her yet but I noticed her way back because of her great looks. Camilla's style is very elegant, classy and feminine but not boring or old-fashioned. I'd say it's rather trendy even if I don't like everything she wears.
I was totally amazed when I saw her in this short Alexander McQueen dress a couple days ago. She looked breathtaking.

Another thing I always notice on Camilla is her face: I can't say wheter it's pretty or not but it has something special and unique that makes you wanna look at her again and again....

What do you think of Camilla Belle and her style?

I'm off for sleeping

Good night

DIY - studded vest

Salut to everyone.Comment ca va? I hope you are all doing well. Me personally I want finally spring. I just can't stand winter (anymore). When I woke up this morning our garden was all over white. Luckily the snow is gone by now but it's still f*cking cold outside.

Well now to more pleasing stuff. My latest DIY-project was inspired by all the great gold studded things that were loitering around lately. I couldn't find anything I liked so I ordered a few Hotfix studs on ebay, ironed them on this little black vest (H&M Divided) et voilà j'était fini...

Do you like it?

See you soon!

Paris Spring 2009 Couture

Here's a litle roundup of Paris Fashion Week.I thought it would be best to write a little statement to every collection.Enjoy!

Stéphane Rolland:I like the straightness and purism of this collection but there's is missing something that gives this 'WOW'-effect.

Valentino:Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, the new designers of Valentino show that they know what Haute Couture means. The collection is breathtaking and full of elegance. I love this cute red dress and the white ruffled coat. Oh how great would it be to own them?!

Martin Margiela Artisinal:Martin Margiela's style is always a bit strange to me but I like the Couture collection more than the RTW one. Nude bodies are a great statement. I wouldn't buy it but the colorful fringe dress would make a perfect eyecatcher plus it looks funky.

Marco de Vincenzo:It must has been horrible for the models to walk on these murder heels, even if they totally rock. The outfits are very clean and unspectacular but I am a fan of the cutouts. The black dress is so simple but good-looking. Reminds me to the one Ashley Olsen wore once.

Jean Paul Gaultier:Gaultier's collection is very artistic and I enjoyed watching it but I am not thrilled.

Givenchy:Ahh again such a great collection. There are tons of great stuff and I heart how they decorated the catwalk with blossoms.Wonderful!

Felipe Oliveira Baptista:What I really like on this collection are the various leggings and the booties. The black leggings with the sheer cutouts please me a lot.Smells like DYI huh?

Elie Saab:Elie Saab Couture dresses are always a dream. This year his couture collection takes me to heaven again, especially the 2nd dress. The bold shoes are a perfect change in style and so adorable.
Christian Lacroix:A great mix between grown-up and frisky looks. The dotted coat is too cute and this round gold bag super fly.

Christian Dior:Kind of lady chic style anyway Galliano did in my opinion a good job. The white dress on the right is a favorite and the shoes really caught my eyes.

Chanel:As always really classy and damn good. The two first looks from the left were faultless. Chapo karl!

Cathy Pill:By chosing a clean backround the designer made a good job otherwise these magical dresses wouldn't have shown their full advantage and prettiness.

Avalon Vega:The sheer booties are definately a hit but all in all I don't like the collection. It reminds me to candy floss.

Armani Privé:Armani seems quite adrogynous to me and I'm unsure wheter I like the collection or not. Yet I think the yellow jacket over the black dress is a great contrast. Furthermore I loved this special formed dress. I used to have a similar one for my barbie when I was younger.
Anne Valérie Hash:Is there somebody who's getting married soon? Then chose this white dress.I can visually imagine a bride wearing it at her secret garden wedding, awww...

Alexis Mabille: Feminine, cute, elegant - I think these adjectives describe Mabille's collection best. It wasn't my favorite but I definately liked it and would wear the clothes.

Alexander Vauthier:Sharp shoulders and statement collars in black - that's how Vauthier sees us in spring. Except the shoulder pads not bad thinking at all. Between the footwear (1st/last) is to die for.

Well then I told you what I think. It's your turn: Which collections did you like and which not? Was Paris Couture 2009 a miss or rather a miss?

See you soon

SAG Awards 2009

Teri Hatcher - Rosario Dawson - Taraji P. Henson - Anne Hathaway
Angelina Jolie - Mindy Kaling - Kate Winslet - Freida Pinto
Claire Danes - Eva Longoria - Marisa Tomei

America Ferrera - Katie Holmes - Marcia Cross - Tina Fey

Christina Applegate - Jenna Fischer - Evan Rachel Wood - Emily Blunt

What? 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards
When? Saturday, 25th January 2009
Where? Shrine Auditorium L.A.
Who? Stars and starlets from the showbiz'

After clearing the main facts of the SAG Awards above now to the most interesting questions: Who was best dressed and who worst? If there was an award for 'Best Look' I'd split it in two: Anne Hathaway would get one half for making a discreet but chic statement in her white Azzaro gown and Freida Pinto the other one. No wonder that I loved her angelic dress which looked breathtaking to her dark teint -it's Marchesa! Katie Holmes would get definately the one for worst dressed of the entire evening. Besides the aweful color of her Jil Sander dress it looked fairly deformed and boring on her. Her look was absolutely unfitting for the occasion in my opinion. Did she wear even a bra? Doesn't seem so.
What do you think of Katie's dress and the looks in general? Any favorites?

Awaiting your comments.

So long

Plaid Outerwear

1.) How the celebs wore it:

2.) How it was presented at the Fall '08 RTW shows:
Plaid is not really something new but beside the classy lumberjack chemises there's also great outerwear in various colors and shapes. At the Fall 2008 RTW Shows many designers showed how interesting a coat or jacket with a plaid pattern could be.

Since I saw Alexa Chung wearing a tartan coat a few months ago I want one like hers. Unexpectedly I spotted a similar one like Alexa's at Zara when I visited my sister last time in Hannover. It was even on sale so I was very glad but when I tried it on it was ( of course) too big and strangely cut.

I think plaid coats make an awesome alternative to unicolored ones if they aren't that bright (as seen on Rihanna). Anyway I prefer a simple grey or black coat because it goes with everything and looks always good.

Now here's the turn: I saw another one which would be perfect for the transition period. I'm still thinking about getting it. Actually it's a bit too big but it has anyway a very wide cut. Still unsure and hope it will be on sale soon since this would make my decision a lot easier ☺.
Here in Germany you can't have enough coats. Last week we had snow and -8°C...!

Should I get it? And what do you think in general about plaid coats?

P.S. Thanks for your advices about getting the patent shopper or not. I did not - even if I love it and still think about it - because it was so huge that it looked already absurd. That's the con of pics: You can never say how big the bag really is in reality!

Have a nice weekend

xoxo

Sunday boredom

H&M shirt/bracelet.Cubus bag.Vintage skirt/belt.C&A Kids tights. Urban Outfitters glasses. DIY headband.

First of all I wanna thank everybody for all the comments and wishes. Seems like they helped:
Here I am again, fully recovered and - oh my gosh I can't believe - doing an outfit post. I know it has been a long time since I did last but making more of these is one of my resolutions for 2009. Let's hope I'll manage it. Well now above you can see what I wore today.

I'm still on vacation till Thursday but honestly I feel like I wasted the whole time. Except Christmas there wasn't anything really bright. The city I'm living in is so damn boring!

Apropos city did you watch Whitney Port's show 'The City'?If yes what do you think about it? In my opinion it's exactly like 'The Hills' but I like it because I adore Whitney.

Since it's SALE I'm on the hunt for some new and cheap stuff. I spotted this XL black patent shopper for 30€ but I'm unsure if I should buy it.
What do you think should I go for it?

Please tell me. I reserved the bag till tomorrow.

Thanks already for your help.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Here I am again crammed with red cabbage, turkey and crème caramel. Hopefully all of you had great holidays and got tons of nice presents. Besides many "smaller" stuff (H&M giftcard, money, bag etc.) Santa brought me a huge super chic notebook that seems to be even bigger than me. All in all Christmas eve was a bit strange this year since I wasn't in the mood at all, very calm but anyway enjoyable. I think Silent Night would be the perfect title for it ☺

What about you?How did you spent the holidays and what did you get?

In September I purchased three books of the series Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella at a garage sale. I just couldn't stop, because the books were too good and Becky Bloomwood (the main character) so amusing. Oh I love her!

You can't imagine how thrilled I was when I found out about the film. After watching the trailer and seeing these snaps I expect a funny, stylish film à la SATC. Anway I'm unsure if it's going to be good as the books but hope rests till the end....

Here's the trailer:

Enjoy the last holiday

Winterize your Jeans Shorts

Alexander Wang Fall 2008 RTW

Rumi,Wendy,Andy,Gala,Almah

Keira Knightley,Lilly Allen,Kate Moss,Katie Holmes

So here I am again - finally on holiday! Only 2 days to Christmas eve left and I haven't finished all my presents yet. Hopefully I'll today....

Wearing jeans shorts and tights underneath is currently loitering around. Whether at the Alexander Wang's Fall 2008 show, on the bloggers or the celebs everybody winterizes his jeans shorts. I liked it the most on Gala since she has wonderful legs and styled it perfectly. The variant with the wider shorts as seen at Alexander Wang (1st pic) also pleased me a lot.

Actually I'm (most times) totally into the tights+shorts combination but on me it looks aweful and I feel very uncomfy. I tried it often but the result never had been very satisfying. Well I guess I'll better leave this trend to the others...

What's your opinion?Hate it or love it, leave it or take it?

Happy "Christmas Countdown"

Love

P.S. Sorry for the chaotic layout but my blogger is spinning!

Tights white as snow

I remember wearing white tights when I was younger. For the day I wore wool ones, for grave occasions silk ones. I guess white tights never got out of fashion but right now they're in again. No matter if on the streets, the catwalks of or at 'Gossip Girl' - the snowy tights are everywhere in various forms. As long as it's not this jabbing white I like nearly all especially the ones with a texture. The mean thing about these tights is the fact that they make your legs sometimes look awefully fat. Plus on some people they have this sanitary-stockings-effect (urrrgh). I hope I'm not one of these since I already spotted a few at H&M.

What are you thinking about the this look?Wearble or just aweful?

P.S. Only 13 days for christmas eve left and I haven't bought any presents yet.

Chanel Pre-Fall 2009

Love it or hate it?
That's the question I asked myself when I start watching Chanel's Pre-Fall 2009 collection yesterday. I guess I'm something between and it's kind of love-hate relation. All in all Karl Lagerfeld didn't thrill me with his russian inspired look. 90% of the shown looks were a way too opulent for me personally, but anyway a few items really caught my eye and I'm sure they could make a fabolous outfit if styled a little more distreet. I totally fell in love with the classy black white dress which presents absolutely Chanel. 2nd thing I adored were the golden tights. I'm definately gonna look for a cheaper version.

Sure there were a few very Chanel-alike clothes however everything reminded me to Christian Lacroix. My conclusion: Not the best show but even though not aweful, but how could Chanel be aweful?!

Tell me your opinion ☺

Voilà un général

During New York and Paris Fashion Week for spring/summer 2009's fashion Balmain and 3.1 Phillip Lim took us on a little journey through time by presenting monarchy-inspired military-jackets and vests. I like these a lot and the simple way both designers styled them is genius.

Mischa Barton didn't follow this examples: She combined her jacket at a red-carpet event with a golden headband and a fringe bag. Maybe she thought it would be nice to wear more than one trend all at once but honestly this is a little too much. Topmodel and fashionista Erin Wasson in contrast did an awesome job by wearing a short military-bolero with latex leggings in all over black. Chapeau!

Let's hope a Balmain one will fall from the sky otherwise
I'm on the prowl ☺

Any tipps where I could find a cheap one?I think vintage is the best way.

Well then I'm off to - tatatatatata - LEARN!

A bientôt mes chères

4 x inspiration

Gala Gonzales is one of my favorite fashion bloggers and a very cute young lady.I love her style and the way she pulls of current trends with her own note. A couple weeks ago she posted this breathtaking outfit. For me personally from head to toe a perfect outfit.

Alexa Chung is a real fashion icon.I adore her easy but stylish look and always feel very inspired by her.Today I found this pic of her at tfs and was thrilled:That oversized sweater dress is perfect for the current season and the colors match perfect together plus they make it interesting. The zipper detail adds a cool touch.

Alexander Wang's Autumn 2008 collection was one of the most populars and in my opinion it's absolutely true. The looks always inspire me for my daily outfits.

It has been a couple months since I found this picture on another blog. I loved his model's entire look from the first moment. Especially the extravagant hat took my eye and I thought it's very easy to copy.Well then it's my following DIY-project and on top of my to-do-list.
The "simple" Prada bag is gorgeous.

slackly men sweater and a foreign vintage bag

H&M Men sweater.Görtz 17 flats.Pieces treggings.

Actually I should be learning about atoms and electroanalyses right now but luckily our chemistry moved the test to next monday. Good for me because here's finally an outfit post!
Monday is one of the worse weekdays but needs must.

My plan was it not to buy anything till 28th November because we're going to Hannover (a bigger city further south with Zara, Mango plus more then one shabby H&M store) but I wanted such an oversized men sweater for longer now and just couldn't resist. Very cozy but the loss about them is that they make you look a lot more expanded than you really are but who cares it's monday and my personal week starts on tuesday ☺.

Vintage bag (Becci's)

Writing this make's me feel very sad but this lovely vintage bag above is not mine. It belong to Becci the best friend of my older sister. She bought it a couple months ago from an old lady on a flew market and ever since I had taken it on my radar and was so jealous about it.
Kindly Becci borrowed me the XXL bag and I couldn't miss the chance to show it to you.
Isn't it just adorable???

Tomorrow is the penultimate show of our musical called "Trouble" ('guess that's the best translation in english). Hopefully I'll have the chance to take some pics of me in my costumes as a Desperate-Housewives-Bree-Hodge inspired pregnant mother and stoned skater boy.

Thank you for keeping the fingers crossed for me and all your kind comments.

Cheerio!

GLAMOUR "Women of the Year" Award 2008

Kate Bosworth.Emma Hemming.Debra Messing.Taylor Swift.

Natalie Portman.Tinsley Mortimer.America Ferrera.Jane Krakowski

Nicole Kidman.Fergi.Sarah Michelle Gellar.Selita Ebanks.

On Monday night it was time to nominate the GLAMOUR "women of the year" 2008 at Carnegie Hall in NYC.
Apart the hype on Obama's election the politic ladies Condoleezza Rice and Hilary Clinton wear honored with an award, likewise Nicole Kidman, Tyra Banks, Kara Walker and Maureen Chiquet. Except for a few 'rebels' nearly everyone showed up in a black or white dress. My clear favorite was definately Kate Bosworth's classy Chanel dress, followed by Nicole Kidman's embroidered L'Wren Scott robe.

What do you think about the looks? Agreed with my choice of favorites?

P.S. I'm totally sorry for not writing anything but as I already told you I took part in a musical at our school. Last night it was preview. Luckily everything went well and I totally enjoyed it.
Tonight the show goes on but before I'm going to the city, because I'm totally in need of something new. Please don't mind me.

Street Style Compensation

Hey guys,
I'm totally sorry for not posting anything the last couple days but school really took my last nerve and there wasn't time for anything else. After I finished my last class exercise for this week today I went to the cinema to watch High School Musical 3. All in all the film wasn't bad but didn't thrill me. Actually my plan was it to take some pics of what I wore but I had no time so I thought maybe I should post a little street style inspiration which's always good.

I wish I could keep on writing but unfortunately I've to change a dress for drama class. Guess I won't be posting much the coming days because everyday there are rehersals from 8.30 till night. Well monday it's preview time...

Please excuse me and rock the fashion world without me for a while

60s Icon Twiggy

Aloha everyone. Sorry for not posting the last days but school just started again and there's was aweful lot to do and over all learn. Fortunately it's friday and I can finally start over with a new post. The 60s fashion icon and topmodel Twiggy alias. Lesley Hornby has been one of my lovies for a couple years now so it's definately high time to write about her.

In 1966 she was discovered. Because of her tiny image (she weight only 90lbs/41kg) the 16 year old kept her childhood nickname Twiggy and became The Face of '66. One year later she arrived in New York and turned the whole fashion scene upside down. Even if no one believed, she became the leading supermodel, later also an actress and singer.

With her short adrogynous pixie hair-cut, the fake XXL-eyelashes, stylish outfits and of course unhealthy low weight she created a complete new look and became a style icon who was copied by millions of teens.

Today the british is 59 years old and has a few public appearances, f.e. in the America's Next Topmodel-jury.

For me Twiggy is a formative character for the world wide fashion. I love her dramatic eye make-up and short dresses. Twiggy was an idol for many young girls and so unfortunately her skinny shape.

What's your opinion on Twiggy? Is she a real style icon?

P.S. It was quite hard to chose only a few pics because there were so awesome ones.

Have a nice week-end and to some of you HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The Fur-Nation

Fur had been really out of fashion. Fashionistas like Kate Moss, Nicole Richie and the Olsens were often spotted wearing fury stuff recently but also in the past. Well maybe fur never had been out but right now it's booming.

Doesn't sound bad at all but the mean thing about this trend is that many of these ladies wear real fur and not faked alternatives.

Vero Moda fake fur vest with removable hood (old school). Vintage kids wear plush leo jacket.

Since I'm against killing animals for the purpose of fashion you can guess easily that the vest and jacket I'm wearing in the pics above are not real fur. I got the vest a couple years ago for christmas. It's very warm and cozy but the problem is I'm always feeling kind of strange in it so I didn't wear it often. The black white wanna-be leo jacket next-door is vintage kids wear. I got it last month at a garage sale for only 2€. Just like about the vest I'm also undecided about it and often think it looks a bit trashy. I could see myself wearing the vest in a bohemian way with a bright dress and my Minnetonkas but the leo one... Any idea? Would be very helpful.

And besides what do you think about fur? Is real fur ok or a no-go?

Tell me!

kisses&hugs

From Hamburg to the World - New Topmodel Toni Garrn

Once upon a time there was a 16 year old blonde girl living in Hamburg. In the year 2006, during the World Cup she went to a fan event at the Alster. Suddenly a woman sprang towards her and asked her if she wanted to be a model. The girl said yes. From this day forth she was photographed for many famous fashion mags like Vogue and V-Magazine, presented the latest collections of big designers on the runways of the whole world and became after Natalie Vodianova the new face of Calvin Klein. The girl was so happy and thankful and lived happily ever after in the glamorous world of fashion....

This little story isn't a fairy tale or something, it's a real story that happened to the new topmodel Toni Garrn. A dream huh? Only sweet 17 and already featured in adds for Calvin Klein and Jill Stuart that's just unbelieveable. Her real name is Antonia and she's 1,78 m high.

To me it seemed like the beauty was on nearly every runway at the recent Fashion Weeks.I like her a lot because of naturalness and fresh, young face. Plus her body's in real good shape, she's not too skinny but not too curvy. This girl had a lot of luck but in my opinion she deserves it.

What's your opinion on her?Could she be tomorrow's topmodel?

P.S. I was thrilled by all the comments on my previous post.
Thanks so much to all of you. You're so sweet and intent.

Meet my new laced boots and the Eiffel Tower

Vintage beanie.Cubus shirt.Pieces treggings.Reno Boots
As I already mentioned in my previous post I finally found a cheap pair of laced boots at Reno.Actually my momy was looking for shoes but then - while waiting for her - I found them coincidental standing in a corner.Since they were the best pair I ever saw after I've been looking for boots in many many stores I bought them 'cause they were only 30€.And now I'm quite satisfied with them though I'm not so much into the part of the boots where the material is lighter.Well better than nothing right?!

Solo chain.Eiffel Tower was a key fob from a hawker in Paris

A couple days ago I saw a silver necklace with a big Eiffel Tower pendant and just adored it. Suddenly I had the idea to take an old Eiffel Tower key fob my sister brought me from Paris couple years ago as a souvenir, bent the bail and then stick it into an old very expensive chain my dad bought me in denmark.Et voilà une chaîne avec une petite tour d'Eiffel!

Well then I'm leaving tomorrow I'm going to the flew market in the early morning.Hopefully I'll find something interesting.

Of course I'll let you know about my booties ☺

So long...

Another British Fashionista:Fearne Cotton

After Kate Moss, Agyness Deyn, Daisy Lowe, Peaches and Pixie Geldof here's another fashion-treat from the UK: British TV and radio presenter Fearne Cotton.

Through the Kid's TV show
Finger Tips I've been acquinted with the 27 year old since I was 9. I always liked her a lot and looked upon on her as a very cool chick. Today I admire her good occurrence and mostly cool plus trendy style. She follows the latest trends (f.e. lace) and plays with many colors but soever adds a personal touch. For me Fearne Cotton is definately part of the 'British Fashion League'. What do you think? Is Fearne able to take it on with the other UK fashionistas?

P.S. Finally I found a pair of nice laced boots.I'll show them to you in my next post ☺

Excited about your comments.

The autumn leaves of red and gold

beanie:H&M,coat:H&M,treggings:Pieces,boots:Minnetonka (via Ebay)

Wouhuuuu, since friday 12.10 am I'm officialy on vacation. Two weeks no school doesn't sound bad at all, right? I can tell you autumn has definately arrived over here and it feels like everyday is getting a bit colder. On saturday I went shopping in Hamburg with Lara,my sister and her friends.Though I didn't find everything I wanted all in all it was a quite succesful and over all amusing offbeat to my holidays.Pics of my new stuff will follow in the up coming days. The beanie and treggings I'm wearing in the pics are just a little foretaste.Today I had nothing to do so I went outside and took a few pics.Maybe not the best ones but better than nothing.

Well then gotta clean up my room now.

Paris Fashion Week 5em Partie

Vanessa Bruno The pure looks are great and I love the colors she chose for the collection. On top great footwear.
Sharon Wachob I wasn't amazed but a few looks were definately ok.
Tao These silver shoes are so strange!Absolutely not my favorite though I like the last outfit is quite nice.
Tsumori Chisato Such a bright and wonderfull collection. The bohemian touch is absolutely my taste.Awesome!
Véronique Leroy The high wedge footwear is very cool.I like the 2nd all over black look but the rest was not that good.
Zucca The volants gave the dresses a very frsiky style what I liked a lot.The last look is adorable and the blue shoes in the first super cute.
Cher Michel Klein Well mix between cool looks and sweet dresses.2nd and 3rd outfit are to die for plus the whole footwear.
Bless Too bulky cuts for me personal.Just liked the grey dress in the 2nd pic.
Kenzo Awww so beautiful.Loved everything.Kenzo=Hit!
Talbot Runhof As expected very elegant dresses. The tunic in the 2nd pic is lovely. I also liked the way they played with details like feathers and metallic embrodery but wasn't pleased.
Paul&Joe Airy,casual wear.Maybe simple but nice.
Lanvin I always like Lanvin a lot and can say that Mr.Elbaz did an awesome job again.

Miu Miu Honestly,I was disappointed. The red skirt outfit is very cute but nothing really stunned me.
Louis Viutton Excellent collection. So many great looks.I want the entire 3rd outfit Amanda Laine wore.
Limi Feu This collection seemed so strange to me.I hated the XXXXL-clothes the models wore (not pictured). At least I'd call the first two looks ok ☺.

I'm sure everybody knows this situation:You're watching a show on TV and then just in the most exciting moment the show is over or commercials start. I'm feeling similar about the end of the s/s 2009 Fashion Week in Paris. At the beginning I disliked a lot of the shows but now they pleased more and more. Sure it's a great pity but fortunately FW is always returning. Enough ululation let's start dishing about the recent shows and the earlier ones I missed. You can read above my idea of every shows and maybe tell who's my favorite. I can't say surely because I liked too many collections.
Who's your favorite? And what do you think in general about these years FW for s/s '09? Which one was your favorite Fashion Week?

Well then I'm heading to drama class and afterwards to a VIP-shopping evening at Cubus.

P.S. Please excuse me for not posting the last days or answering the comments but there were a lot of things on my mind. I'll try to catch it answering.

Au revoir

Paris Fashion Week 4em Partie

Martin Grant Ok but not grandiouse. The last dress is pretty anyway.
Wunderkind I liked a few items but usually Wunderkind convices me much more.

Collette Dinnigan Breathtaking collection and definately on my 'A-List'.All of these outfits are simply gorgeous and something I want for my s/s 09 closet ☺.A pity I forgot to include a pic of these amazing lace shoes.
Chloé I like Chloé always a lot but this collection was not my favorite. For sure some outfits were great and I loved the bow details on nearly every outfit.
Hermès Seems like Jean Paul Gaultier watched many westerns lately (too many?).Anyway some looks were pretty nice.
John Galliano Yay for Monsieur Galliano.C'est très bien!I loved a lot of these and the last 3 dresses are just a dream I wanna have.Over all the footwear was so cool.
Elie Saab Elie Elie you always amaze me with your dresses and make me wanna sneak into your atelier and steal them all.
Rue du Mail The shorts in the 2nd outfit are great but otherwise I'm not the biggest fan of this collection.
Valentino This is what I call 'WOW'....I want the 2nd dress!!!
Chanel Like Coco Chanel herself always classic, chic and never out of fashion - nothing to add.
Alexander McQueen A couple nice and very glamorous looks but nothing special.
agnès b.The leather treggings and red tights rock. The 2nd look is so romanticly perfect but even though all in all not my personal hit.
Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Such a happy and bright collection. I loved a lot of these items and would wear them in a less freaky way. Mickey Mouse always catches me...
Requiem Fantastic collection with so so so many cute and chic but not too florid dresses I would buy if I had the money ☺

Slowly we are sliding into the end of Paris Fashion Week. What a pity 'cause I like the collections more and more every following day. I decided to use my 'new system' again and write a little and sometimes sassy comment to every single show. Today it's also hard to me who's my current favorite. Maybe Requiem? Collette Dinnigan? Valentino? Jean-Charles de Castelbajac? Or however Galliano? No comment on this but these 5 desginers are definately on my top list in mind. I guess I gotta go sleeping right now because there school tomorrow.

Take care

Paris Fashion Week 3em Partie

Giambattista Valli Very elegant and precious.I liked the comeback of the petticoat a lot but the creamy lace dress is my real obession. Haider Ackermann Seemed kind of boring to me. Jasmine Di Milo Gorgeous!I want all of these and overall the shiny leggings and the jodhpur pants.
Victor&Rolf Not the 'Oh-my-gosh'-effect but anyway ok. I liked the tights, the print shirt and the entire 2nd outfit.
Yves Saint Laurent So timelessly elegant. The white dress is a dream and the shoes genius!
Leonard I liked some of these colorful hippie dresses but anyway it didn't flash me. Sophia Kokosalaki Not too special but anyway great. The shoes are to die for.Fell in love with the black romper and the dress next-door is not that bad too. Sonia Rykiel Seemed like the show was a big and funny party.Awesome, multifaceted collection. Costume National Not my favorite but anyway I liked a few looks (for example this white dress). Karl Lagerfeld Typical and of course I liked that but where was the 'WOW'-effect Karl?!
Isabel Marant Haachh..Isabel Marant, this collection is a dream and I want everything!
Hussein Chalayan Though a few dresses are very pretty not exactly my taste. Lutz Not my hit. Givenchy Très cool. The hair-bows looked so lovely and were a great contrast to these excellent outfits.Even if it's not so special I want that white dress with the ballon sleeves.
Issey Miyake The boots are quite nice but otherwise I wasn't impressed. Marithe + Francois Girbaud At the beginning I though 'Oh no' but then it was ok,just casual. These grey pants with the pink ribbons are so special and nice even if I'm undecided if I'd buy them.
Veronique Branquinho A few looks were ok but nothing dazzling. Jean Paul Gaultier Hm..ok but I expected more. However I'd kill for this floral dress in the last pic ☺. Christian Lacroix Not bad at all and a few nice pieces but nothing stunning. Bernard Willhelm The red and plaid dress are great but all in all none good. Comme des Garçons Beautiful disaster. Gaspard Yurkievich So nice. These headbands really got on my radar. Junya Watanabe Too much greenie but I'd wear such a short colorful dress. Barbara Bui Plain but full of style and something I'd wear. Ann Demeulemeester I need these shoes! Loewe Seems like someone saved the money for the models ☺ Just kidding! The classy style amazed me.I loved the XXL anchors necklaces and the belts. Emanuel Ungaro Chapeau!I'm sure every woman wants such a dress for summer. The idea with the hat as a casual break is super. Stella McCartney Miss McCartney definately scored with her pure looks. The creamy transparent dress is so nice and the one with the black art is perfect for everyday. Akris Yay for Akris!I adore the watercolor look for the last dress it's so creative. The sequined green dress and the shoes in general pleased me also a lot. Cacharel Surely one of my favorites.I can already imagine these dresses in my closet. Dries Van Noten Divine!Breathtaking!Adorable!Stunning! Celine All in all I liked it though it wasn't very special. This blue coat is my personal favorite. Andrew Gn Aww..these dresses are wonderfull.

Bonsoir mes chères.Voilà la troisième partie de Paris FW....As always not farther than this with my french skills. The last week it was fairly hard for me to take time for blogging and Paris Fashion Week.Luckily it's a holiday so there's was no school and I could recover myself from all the learning. I can't say anthing about how the tests went because I'm so undecided. Since yesterday evening I've been catching all the shows I missed and preparing this post. But I can say the long work was definately worth it. I guess I liked more than 50% of the collections so much that it would take several hours to mention them all.
Instead I had the idea to write a short comment to every show under the according collage as you maybe already noticed. Do you have a definate favorite or feeling like me?

Antonio Berardi
Christian Dior
Maison Martin Margiela
Undercover

Salut mes amis.Comment ça va?J'espère que tout est bien!I guess now it's time to change to english before I embarrass myself. This morning I woke up by the loud rain and it didn't change the entire day.Bad weather means beeing in a bad mood for me.Yesterday finally my Minnetonkas arrived and I was so happy that I wore them all day long at home. They are definately not the best boots for rainy days so I decided to spare them.Hopefully tomorrow it will be much better.I wish I could say at least Paris FW could cheer me up but the shows did not at all.I'm fairly disappointed so there's no real favorite.Antonio Berardi and Christian Dior just scrape through. Maison Martin Margiela just shocked me.I was so scared by some of the looks that I felt like I was in a nightmare. Vivienne Westwood is always a bit too special and freaky for me but today there were at least two nice dresses I'd wear.
Just me or were you guys disappointed as well?
I'm off to learn for a english class test. Please don't mind me if I won't post anything tomorrow because next day there's a math test.I hope you wish me luck for both because last time in latin it helped me a lot:I got a 1 (maybe better known as an 'A' ☺).

Thanks for this again ♥.
Catch you in a few day hopefully in a better mood, something new and better from Paris.

Keep your eyes open Queen B. here comes Leighton Meester

Wakey Wakey fashionistas not Gossip Girl but Mimi here.I'm so so sorry about my long absence but my head was full of stuff I had to do (esp. for school). Now that I'm here totally healthy here's finally my post on my current darling Leighton Meester that I already wanted to do a couple weeks ago.On one side fortunate that I didn't have enough time or a few of her recent outfits wouldn't be featured.Since Gossip Girl everyone knows Leighton even if maybe just as Blair "Queen B." Waldorf. Her bitchy character in the show which is my favorite one is always super dressed.Though the 22 year old actress doesn't take 2nd place behind Queen B.Especially at public appearances Leighton shows are best and stylish sides.
I just can't get enough of here. What about you?How do you feel about her look?

I wish I could say we'll see us soon but I can't promis.Tonight I'm going to the opera - it's my first time so I'm fairly excited - to watch Mozart's "Don Giovanni'.Hopefully it will be not boring and my ears will stay hale. I'll spend my saturday in school because of a musical rehersal not very glad about that but most time we've a lot of fun.
Now I'm off because I still have no idea what to wear.Something classy but not too much.
Hm...maybe I'm gonna take a pic of the outfit I chose at the end.

Carpe Diem

Trencoat: Cubus, Dress/ Tights/ Flats/ Bag: H&M, Scarf: C&A, Bracelets: Mallorca

Almost recovered today it was time to me to go back to business.Luckily my school day was not that hard and long but everything that kept waiting for me at home definately was: Learning for tomorrow's class exercises in music and latin.Oh how I hate it.After only one day I got already enough from school.Luckily there are only 2 weeks left till autumn vacation.I'm looking forword to this!

Before I leave to altercate with Trojan horses a few words to my outfit.Maybe you already noticed that dress looks a lot like the original one from AA but it's not. I bought it last week-end in Hamburg from H&M though I wanted the 'real' one but I found it too expensive.I'm really satisfied with that dress because you can wear it in so much ways and the best thing about it is the plunging neckline in the back. Hm..well and then the classical trench.Everytime I wear it I feel like a little Sherlock Holmes.
Hopefully I can write more in the following days...

Wish me luck for tomorrow and don't forget:'Carpe Diem' ☺

London FW Part V - Teen Vogue YH Party 2008

Modernist Osman Yousefzada Aminaka Wilmont Ashish Bora Aksu Duro Olowu Josh Goot

All good things come to an end and so did London FW 2008 yesterday - unfortunately. Anyway I want to make a befitting closing so here I go with my 5th and last post about our british fashion friends. Espect Osman Yousefzada I liked all collections anyway I've a favorite and today it was and is definately the S/S collection of Ashish.I enjoyed all the outfits and the well mix between casual looks for everyday and glamorous dresses for the night was perfect. The shirt with the playing card theme was my absolute favorite I truelly fell in love with it.
Now tell me who was your favorite and what do you think of London Fashion Week all in all?

So long London... _______________________________________________________________
But before I leave a little sneak into last night's 6th annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party in L.A. Teen stars and starlets like Frances Cobain, Vanessa Hudgens, the Willis sisters, Selena Gomez and many more attended the debut of Luella's Spring 2009 collection on the west coast. The shoes of Miss Cobain, Vanessa and Emma..wow!I adored them. But more important than what they wore below is the question who had the best complete look? For me definately the actress Victoria Justice (next to Bar Rafaeli) with her black boots, cute white dress and moto leather jacket as a cool break.Who's your favorite?

Now I'm going to bed.Today I had to catch up all the homeworks I missed over the week and tomorrow it's time to learn latin!

Peter Pilotto
Sinha-Stanic
Vivienne Westwood Red Label

Danielle Scutt
Erdem
Fashion Fringe
Issa
Meadham Kirchhoff

Salut mes amis.Voilà, la 4em partie de Londres Fashion Week.Enough french for today but honestly I missed school a bit in the last few day so I had to refresh brain with a little frensh lesson.I just came back from the doctor after my mom took me there because my body temperature was something between 34°C though I felt - and still do -very fine.He didn't find anything special but tomorrow I've to stay in bed.I'm so mad because I wanted to go to the cinema with Lara to watch finally 'Factory Girl' but this idea is done now.Well can't change this what a pity.To cheer myself a bit up here a daily review on the yesterday's shows.Puuhh yesterday it was very easy to chose my favorite but today it's a little harder.I guess Fashion Fringe warmed me the most. Why?It was so multifaceted and there were a lot of pieces I wanted especially these with the colorful blocked stripes.Second 'winner' for me is Issa I feel in love with that white lace dress it's so cute. The jeans in the 2nd pic of Meeadham Kirchhoff also got on my radar and inspired my 'must-have'-notice.So long from Londres...

...and now to something not that amusing for me. When I saw this caption a couple days ago I was shocked. Nicole and Joel the '#1 family' standing in front of the break up?Oh I just hope that's not true because it would make me very said since I like Nicole a lot. Bad girl Mischa!

Ok now I'm gonna drink a coup of tee see you at the latest tomorrow evening

London FW Part III

Richard Nicoll
Roksanda Ilincic
Armand Basi One
Basso & Brooke
House of Holland
Mulberry
Nathan Jenden

Edit:

My dearest readers sorry for not writing and completing this post but yesterday I felt too powerless to continue watching fashion shows.Just for the report:I'm still sick and think I got also kind of 'sitting-at-home-and-don't-do-anything'-depression.Well then week-end is coming so hopefully I'll be recovered tomorrow. And now I'll catch up dishing on LFW.Maybe you already noticed that I added two more shows of the previous day: Richard Nicoll and Roksanda Ilincic. Before I tell who was my favorite here a personal letter to my friend Henry Holland:

Dear Henry,

I won't say your collection was aweful but I really missed that 'WOW'-effect on my face and the ecstasy.Where was it?!I hope you won't mind my little critic.Would be great if you could send me the romper Chanel wears in the 1st pic.

Thanks your little fan Mimi.

Ok now back to business. My favorite yesterday was definately Mulberry. The classy but urban casual style of the collection was exactly my taste.Basso & Brooke also did a great job with their colorful dresses which improved my mood a lot by watching. The shirt dress Armand Basi One showed (3rd pic) also pleased me a lot and I'm definately gonna watch out for something similar.

Guess we will hear from each other later. The 4th part of LFW is already in the starting blocks and with it a rumor that shocked me so much that I totally forgot to write about it.

Take care that you don't get sick!

a million hugs

Their dresses were so cute and I've to go for a pair of floral tights when I'm healthy again.

What would people like me do without style.com?Exactly, missing London FW which started on saturday. Of course I'd rather attend the shows live - it's one of my biggest dreams to visit a FW one day - but this is better than nothing right? Unfortunately my bad cold turned worse so I spent my 2nd day as a 16 year old at home but before I head back into my cozy bed I made this short review of the previous shows.Hopefully you'll enjoy and I could do a favor for those of you who don't have enough time to watch the shows closely.

Atchoo and good bye

Happy Birthday...

My 16-cake and me on my 1st Birthday

The cake Lara made for me doesn't it look like a real bag?I think it does.Next to it my new bag.

...to me ☺!Today I turned 'sweet' 16 but honestly I don't feel like anything changed.Hopefully I won't get up tomorrow with grey hair. All in all my birthday was very calm and maybe a little bit boring because I'm ill and my daddy wasn't there. So long I got this 'wanna-be-chanel-classic'-bag which I already adore and some money. My momy announced there will be another present on the week-end of course I'll report more. When I entered class this morning there was another bag waiting for me - a yummie choco one which Lara made for me together with such a cute letter à la Gossip Girl.On this way:Again thank you my dearest ♥.
I hope tomorrow I 'll feel better and write more but today I just feel to sick.

Take care!

P.S. I think I got a sugar rush from all these cake...

A lot of Birthday-Love

Peace of Me

When you ask someone what he wishs for his future he usually says health, luck and peace. But when everyone wants it why isn't there peace? That's a question I've been asking myself for years now without having a complete answer yet.I could write now nouvel about the political aspects of peace which are of course very important but let's leave this behind. As you already know I love hippie chic. And the peace sign is one of the most important symbols for this look.I was looking for a golden pendant but didn't find one so instead I bought this earing and made a necklace out of it.I'm not the only one who likes to demonstrate peace with fashion:Various stars show up in clothes with peace symbols or slogans on it.I think that's an awesome way to express yourself by fashion. What is your opinion.Do you own peace-stuff?

Gotta go sleeping.
xoxo

P.S. I'm so mad I don't have enough time beyond school to follow the NY fashion week.Arrrgh...

'And the winner is....' not me ☺ but yesterday night at these year's VMAs it was definately Britney Spears who made her glossy come-back.Complete young hollywood was assembled on the shows some in great outfits and some in,well...let's say less great outfits. There wasn't really a breath taking look but for me LC did it best even if I don't like the cut of her pane that much instead her hair-do was perfect for the occasion in my eyes.Another highlight on the celeb's outfits were for me Bar Raffaeli's biker jacket and the cool boots of uncool Heidi Montag.Pink landed for me the miss of the evening with her red striped dress which reminded me a lot of a paraglider we used to play games with in the kindergarten ☻.
Who is your hit and miss?

Gossip Girl's Victim

Oh my gosh today was such an aweful day!I had to do so many things and just this day I felt a bit sick with such a headache.Tomorow it's my dad's birthday and after all the 'bad things' I had to do I made a cheese-cake for him.Yummi yummi...oh how I love this kind of cake.Well it's 23.23 in the evening so I'll hurry a bit because my eyes close completely.
Actually I wanted to post some pics but I hadn't enough time to take them so I decided short to write about Taylor Momsen who is maybe better known as little J. from Gossip Girl.In the show she wears beautiful stuff and see she's also improving her style off the set.Lately she showed up on the events in a very wiked kind of rock 'n' roll look.
I think there are definately more stylish people and I don't like everything she wears but for the beginning...not bad at all Little J.!
Or what would you say?Like her style?Does she dress better than the other Gossip Girl casts?

Good night and sweet dreams
See u tomorrow

Striped Stress

Oversized Shirt worn as dress,Zara.Blazer,Vintage.Tights,H&M.Scarf,Cubus.Flats,H&M.Golden Bracelet,C&A.Hair ties,H&M.

Uuuuffff...every day is getting over without doing much except school stuff or school itself.I didn't even finish the In Style yet.Today I left the house at 7.30 in the morning and returned at 5 o'clock in the afternoon.
Yesterday I went to my weekly guitar lesson the first time after 7 months. It was so much fun rockin' the E-guitar of my teacher. For homework I got 'Sweet about me' by Gabriella Cilmi - in my opinion a very lovely song and talented young lady.
Thank god I could watch Gossip Girl after drama class on Tuesday it made me dream about Chuck,Serena&Co. this night. What do you think about the season preview?Liked it or not?
I've to say I wasn't so thrilled but anyway nothing than better....and Gossip Girl is always good ☺.
I really would like to write you more and dish about the latest in fashion but I've to go and learn my french vocabs.Hopefullly I can post more on the week-end which starts fortunately tomorrow.Till then above you can see what I wore yesterday.

P.S. Sorry for not answering your comments.I'll try to catch it soon...

When School starts again....

Cardigan,Zara.Scarf,H&M.Tunic,Stradivarius (Spain).Bag,H&M.Leather Bracelet,spanish supermarket.Gladiators,C&A.Heart barrette,H&M.

...the hard life starts again! As yesterday already announced today was my first day back at school. Like every year before it was strange to see all people after 6 weeks. For me it's still unbelievable that I entered the 10th grade.I'm quite unhappy about going back to school but you can't avoid it - what a pity ☻.
The weather here is not that good instead very rainy and it seems like summer is definately over.I think today was the last day I could wear my sandals - hopefully I'm just mistaken.Fortunate the first few weeks will be very comfortable and there wouldn't be much stuff to do.I spent my whole day with chilling around and buying school stuff.Look what I found:These bright 70's styled exercise book covers.Groovy Baby! And finally something stylish for school.Apropos styling after a long see-saw I wore the tunic I bought in Spain.By uploading these pics I noticed that today I looked a bit like a caramel latte ☺...yummi yummi now I really want one.

See u gossip queens&kings

Remember:Today starts the 2nd season of gossip girl.Hopefully it will be on the net soon so I
watch it.I'm starting to miss Serena,Blair&Co.

Relaxed Sunday - Boyfriend Jeans

Jeans,H&M (old).Shirt,H&M kids.Skull Scarf,Karstadt.Flats,H&M

If you haven't noticed yet today it's sunday.Unfortunately my last one on vacation because tomorow starts school.Previous I spent the day with cleaning my room and above all mucking out my desk.Well "business before pleasure" right?!Now that I'm done I'm gonna keep busy with the latest In Style but before I leave here a few words on boyfriend jeans which I wore today in a very casual and simple way:
Since Katie Holmes was spotted wearing a pair of pegged XL-jeans that look has been more and more discussed. In a way I liked it on her in another not that much.Anyway I thought today is the perfect day for trying that look and here you can see what came out of that.I can tell you these pants are much more comfy than skinnies and foremost you've more mobility - exactly what you need for a relaxed sunday.....
What do you think about them?Would you wear it?Should I do it again and not only at home?
I'm very excited to your answers because I'm so undecided about it.

Love
P.S. I wanna save you from my sleepy face so enjoy this amusing monkey instead.Maybe you'll
find some affinity between the both of us ☺

Back to Black - I'm home....

Hola amigas y amigos de moda.Commo esta?
Just got back from Mallorca the day before and I can tell you it was AMAZING but a lot too short.Exceptthe fresh breezes and a bit rain (luckily only in the nights) the weather awesome. We stayed in the Bay of Alcudia at an excellent hotel with too good food - 'think I gained a 100 pounds - named Playa Espereranza what means something like 'Beach of Hope'.I can tell you that beach deserves that synonym:The water was crystal clear, azure and I didn't see even one stone, the sand super keen and white - I think it was the the most prettiest and best beach I've ever been to.One day we went to a market and I was blinded by all the beautiful stuff:Bright tunics and maxi dressis,jewels,handbags,candies....I was thinking of getting a replica Fendi Spy Bag but the thing I really fell in love with was a colorful, floral hippie dress. The problem:It was only one-size and didn't fit above.Well nothing new but anyway I was really disappointed and got back to the hotel only with a religious bracelet in my bag. Most time we spent the time at the beach or in the pool.I went diving in the sea but as expected there weren't much fishes, read a lot and listened to some music with my good old ipod.My parents belong to the people who like to see museums, churches and things like that when they are on holiday so we did a bus tour to the capital Palma including a following trip to a little spot named Valdemossa where Michael Douglas has a summer residence and the composer Chopin used to live in an abbey. After visiting the big cathedral we had about 2 hours free time in Palma for shopping.Definately too little time:There were so nice shops in every corner and I wanted to visit all of them but we had to go back to the bus with new stuff.Anyway I can't mind the little village was very pretty and had a especial amtmosphere.
Uffff....I wrote a lot and I think I could even more but now I'll stop and let the pics speak for themselves.

P.S. Thanks for the sweet comments in my previous 'Good Bye' - post.

Hasta la vista

Hip Hip Hooray tomorow early in the morning I'm finally leaving this depressing country.Instead I'll spent a sunny week on Mallorca. It's the first time I'm visiting Spain so I'm more and more excited.Today I started packing my bag and I can tell you it was a hard job because I was so undecided what to take and what to leave.

Floral meets Western

We still have summer right?Well just asking because I feel like I'm in the middle of autumn. The weather makes me feel very tired all the time so I spent the last few days few days with a lot of reading and doing stuff in our house or garden. While clearing up our shoe cupboard I found my cream-colored boots with that little western touch from two or one winters ago.Never really liked them that much but I thought they would be good for going out in the raining and fit to my new floral tunic/dress.
Ok I'm goin' sleeping.Hopefully we'll see us in a better mood soon ♥

Love,
Your groggy...

Chanel Iman

At the moment the 19 year old Chanel Iman is my favorite model. The Afro-American has Korean roots,I guess that's what accords her this interesting and excotic look which I love so much about her.Chanel appeared for the first time on the runway in the spring/summer season 2006.In the May 2007 issue of US Vogue she was featured on the cover with Agyness Deyn,Lily Donaldson&Co. as the new the new crop of supermodels. The definately deserves it.I also read in a magazin that she took part in America's Next Topmodel.Ahh before I forget this fact interested me a lot:Her mother was always really interested in fashion and gave her daughter this special name according to the topmodel Iman Abdulmajid and the designer brand Chanel. What a stylish name? What do you think about her at all?

P.S. Sorry for no posting so long but the weather here has been crazy and a big chaos. There were
a lot of storms and we didn't even have power a few times.

Teen Choice Awards 2008

Last night it was time for the 10th Annual Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles.Like every year the winners were choosen by the audience before per internet. The Jonas Brothers and the cast of Gossip.Girl were the winners of the evening:Both took home six surfboards.Hannah Montana-starMiley Cyrus presented the show in a sequined Moschino dress. And there were many other stars like Lauren Conrad,Vanessa Hudgens,Selena Gomez and Sophia Bush. Some of the stars changed their outfits between the Pre-party and the show.My favorite outfit is definately Lo's (Lauren Bosworth from The Hills). The dress is chic but not too much and the colorful unterpart makes it a bit frisky.I liked Lauren Conrad's long dress also a lot but I think it was not so adapted for the TCA
.What do you think about the outfit?Who was best dressed?
Are you satisfied with the winners?I'm anxious for your answers...

Embroidered Purses&Bags - A little 'Granny' - charm

Embroidered stuff always let me think on my Granny sitting on a chair and stitching a tea-cloth.
My mother bought a few weeks ago this flowered stitched purse. She doesn't use it and my faux 'Miu Miu' purse is broken so I got her new one. It's very big and reminds a bit to a clutch but I love it.
Embroidered bags/purses give the outfit an interesting vintage character like seen on topmodel Iekeline Stange and a few other bloggers. What do you think?Only something for old ladies or definately something for your wardrobe?Tell me!

Summer is back since a week one and I really enjoy the sun.Yesterday it was very hot and the sun was shining so bright so I went to the beach with Lara . For me it was the first time this year.Like exspected the water was too cold to swim but anyway we had a good time chilling, listening to music and eating ice cream.
Except all that wasps I had to ran away from a few times it was great day.Anyway I still hope for a trip to south.Well, beach is not beach!

I wish you lots of Summer Love

Attention, these might bit you! - Croco Bags

One or two years ago I bought my mother together with my two older sisters and my Daddy this faux Croco leather bag.She loves the bag but doesn't carry it so often because it's a very heavy one.Seems like the vintage Fendi of the Olsen sisters is a lot easier because they're spotted nearly ones a week with their quadratic crocodile.I think these bags always look very expensive and give a casual outfit a very noble touch. The Olsen's bag is adorable.Maybe I'm gonna try my Momy's bag to get a kingly safara touch.I'm sure she won't mind.Me personally I wouldn't wear a real one because I'm against killing animals for fashion.Same with fur.
What do you think about these bags?Hate them or love them?Thinking of getting one?

Love,

Mimi

The Gadget with It-Factor - Blackberry

For years now we see celebs talking or writing on this gadget that reminds a bit to a handcalculator - Blackberries.Their main function is receiving and sending mails, but they have also smartphone functions.
A Blackberry or other phone is standing on top of my wishlist.Hopefully someone reads this.I What about you?Do you have one, hate or love them?Tell me!

Ah..maybe I should mention this:At the moment I'm using a old Sagem mobile phone without a color display.Well an oldie but goldie. But I've to say I'm not the kind of person who can't live with a handy anyway it's time for changes.

The Look:Will they ever leave us? - Flip Flops

Will they ever leave us? - That's the question I ask myself about Flip Flops.I guess the answer is no.The thongs follow us from the Japan and the beautiful geishas to 2008.
Nearly every celebs has a pair and shows up with Flip Flops in their free time and a casual look. That's a bit embarrassing but honestly I took such a long time to learn how to walk with them and till this day there's only a simple black pair from H&M on which I can walk quite good.
How do you feel about them?Hate or love them?

Love&Cheers,

Beauty:Birds of Paradise - Feather Hairdos

Instead of pacing the catwalk up and down lately the models at Nina Ricci, Jean Paul Gaultier and other designers flew. But what's the reason for this strange attitude? Here comes the answer:It's the beauty artists new coup to 'pimp' the model's hairdos with various feathers of any birds.
This special hair decoration gives a kind of strange but anyway great touch if it's not too much.I guess I wouldn't wear this trend but I could imagine a bride in a white dress with those white feathers in her hair. And you?Would you wear it?

The Look:Beach Party - Bandeau Bikinis

In my opinion this year is the one with the biggest diversity of swimsuits and bikinis ever. Between the new ones there also the classic Bandeau Bikinis.
There are about 100 different designs: Striped, black, with braces.....
I really love them. Last year I bought a black-white one at H&M.But t
